Pandamoon is an independent publishing company that takes ultimate advantage of the electronic revolution occurring in book publishing, production, and promotion. We use our combination of skills, knowledge, and expertise to propel our authors to success. Below is a very brief overview of the three types of publishing companies that are most common in the industry and how Pandamoon has positioned ourselves to become the best solution.
WHERE DOES PANDAMOON FIT?
So if the traditional publishers have editorial expertise, the electronic publishers have technical expertise, and the subsidy publishers just need to go away, what is the missing puzzle piece? It’s marketing, but not just any kind of marketing. It’s a fully integrated marketing communications campaign that builds the author’s brand, creates reader loyalty, and engages the reader in interactive communications that creates buzz across all the social media realms. It’s the kind of marketing expertise that only years of experience can provide. And, fortunately, for our authors, the leaders at Pandamoon possess.
We also believe in fairly compensating our authors. We are a royalty-paying non-subsidy publisher and our royalties are significantly higher than those of traditional publishers. We are partners with our authors in the entire process. If they win, we win. And we like to win.
After analyzing the publishing process from every possible angle, we believe we have developed the most successful business model not just for today, but well into the future. It’s based on the power of three — a triangle, the strongest structural form. Every project at Pandamoon gets equal attention from each of the three legs of the triangle…editing, technical, and marketing. Because we know that it takes the full effort of each of these areas to give our books the ultimate opportunity for success. It’s a simple idea but we’re pretty proud of it because we know it works.
We do things the way we think they should be done, not because that’s the way it’s been done for over a hundred years. We are entrepreneurs at heart, filled with drive and passion and have created the changes we want to see in the publishing world. A world where all talented voices and stories get told. Where authors get to reap larger rewards for their efforts. Where readers get to read the books they want. If you want to be part of the Pandamoon Publishing revolution, we’d love to talk with you.
At Pandamoon, we grow good ideas into great reads…one book at a time.
WHAT TO SEND US
When submitting work to us, please keep in mind that we will consider only completed works. We keep it simple here. Our form building process will gather all the information we require, as well as allow you to attach your full manuscript for our review. Please follow the guidelines below before uploading it into our forms.
HOW TO FORMAT YOUR WORK
In keeping with our mission to be a sustainable company, we'd like you to save the trees and follow our electronic format of uploading a manuscript. Due to the volume of submssions we get, it really helps our editors when you take the time to format your manuscript in a consistent manner. Please ensure that your manuscript conforms to the following:
WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR SUBMISSION EMAIL
We gather quite a bit of information in our forms to best determine compatibility with you and your work. All the information is important to us, so please be thorough in your submission. We will take careful consideration of what you have created and who you are as a writer, as both are equally as important to us.
Paper Gold Publishing is a publishing company with authors at its core. We deliver whatever our customers - the authors - require.
We can take a rough manuscript and turn it into a highly marketable gem while allowing the author to keep 100% of the royalties via our Breakthrough Publishing Package.
We can adapt and provide individually agreed services tailored to our authors' needs. For details, check out our Treasure Chest Services.
We are also a royalty-paying publisher who is proud to push into the limelight talented authors we believe in. For Submission Guidelines, see below.
1. We are open for submissions.
2. You do not require an agent's representation in order to submit.
3. Submissions will be considered in order of receipt.
4. Our turnaround time is usually under 72 hours, but there may be instances when our in-boxes will be bulging. We aim to give you an estimate, and we ask that you are patient and respectful in your communications with us.
5. Every submission will be acknowledged and every resolution will be given in writing (email), with a list of recommendations where applicable.
6. Please do not send in hand-written manuscripts. Our preferred submission method is email.
We are only considering completed manuscripts. These can be in any genre, fiction or non-fiction, and of any length. Having said that, if you submit a 2500-word story, please be aware that we would look to publish it as part of an anthology. This may negatively influence your expected publication date. Alternatively, if you submit an opus 400,000 words long, we may decide to split it into several books and publish it as a series.
Whatever genre you choose, please make sure you put your heart and soul into your writing. In a world where 3 million books are available daily for one-click purchase, your only chance to stand out from the crowd is to be brilliant. A poorly written story, a rush job, or something you cobbled together last night and never bothered checking for typos or clarity of thought, is simply not going to be good enough. You have to have a powerful style, a formidable message, an awe-inspiring product in order to have a chance of rising to the top.
No pressure, then.
At PGP, we are waiting to receive that breathtaking story that will leave us in awe of you, the author. Give us no choice but to publish your work.
Increasingly, the modern reader is looking for value and superior quality, and so, any writers who hope to engage a large proportion of their readers consistently over a long period of time would be well-advised to listen to their readers' needs and wishes.
When you are ready...
Please send your submission to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please type your name, title of your work, and #Pit2Pub in the subject line. The email itself should consist of a short query, including the title of your manuscript, approximate wordcount, a short summary of your book (a sentence or two, NOT a full synopsis) and a few words about yourself. We would also like to know whether your work is already published and where, and whether you are submitting this manuscript to other publishers at the same time. Please be assured this information is not a deciding factor in your manuscript's acceptance. We have listed above what is.
Attach your manuscript to the email. We would like to read a short synopsis of your work before we launch into the book, but we also understand that for some authors synopses are akin to facing the gallows. If you find it difficult to write a synopsis, just do your best. The entire work will not be judged on the quality or technical execution of your synopsis. Include this synopsis on page one of your manuscript. Please refrain from using watermarks and special effects; they tire the eye and distract the reader at the best of times. So do colors and multiple fonts or font sizes. We have formatters for such things. First, we need to concentrate on the story.
If you are submitting several manuscripts, please make a separate submission for each one.

Torquere Press Inc. started as a labor of love for two romance writers and readers. In business since September of 2003, Torquere began as a general partnership, and has grown over the last decade into a much larger organization.
While many publishers out there in 2003 were putting out e-books, very few were publishing gay and lesbian romance. The mission of Torquere Press was, and is, to provide readers who love a good story with great books, and to promote gay and lesbian romance as a genre to be reckoned with.
Partners Kristi Boulware and Joanna Talbot would like to welcome all readers and authors to explore the Torquere Press website, and to contact us with any questions and comments you may have at email@example.com.
Kristi Boulware: Kristi is a Texas girl through and through. Sharing a home with her partner in life and business, Joanna Talbot, seven dogs and our children. Kristi works in her spare time with several animal rescues as animals are one of her passions in life. We have a life full of love, laughter and work. Kristi has spent the last several years working with Torquere Press to grow it into a successful publishing company of LGBT romance. In 2014 the decision was made for our previous co-owners to focus on their writing so the business became a partnership between Joanna and Kristi. Kristi has been managing business of all sorts for twenty years and plans to continue the growth of Torquere Press.
Joanna Talbot: Joanna grew up in a family that always had a retail business until mid 2014. Through her families businesses she learned about the ways of retail, advertising and marketing and the importance of good customer service. Joanna thrives on finding new and exciting ways to share the things she loves with anyone and everyone. She has her own business making all natural beauty products that she is very passionate about and focuses on in her spare time. Joanna is very excited to start this new chapter in her life with her new family, and her Torquere family and readers.
