I hope you all had as much fun as I did watching the great pitches throughout the day. I saw tons of favs and RTs. The purpose Ann and I wanted to create #Pit2Pub was to get authors in touch with publishers and for you guys to have a long lasting relationship. Kinda sounds like a marriage and in a way it is. Having a publisher (or agent) is a give-take and I hope many of you now have found your partner with your story.
Here's some staggering numbers since I wasn't busy or anything: #Pit2Pub started trending within the first 30 minutes of going live. There were approximately 1,250 tweets posted every hour. And to boot, there were 300+ profiles tweeting their pitches the first hour. By the end, there were over 10,500 tweets today!!! Whew, that's big number! That's HUGE!!! I think that's fabulous! Becuase so many of you joined in this first ever and first of its kind event, you helped us make it a success!
27 publishers signed up to monitor the Twitter feed and I know 6 more who jumped on during the day. Another agent also watched. I hope that they found some gems from all the pitches and authors who participated.
I'm pleased to announce that Ann and I will be doing this as an annual event and I've already thought of some ways to make it bigger and better!
Thank you to all the authors out there who had the courage to pitch your story. I know what you went though. I remember the sweats, the shakes, and the heart beating out of the chest. But you did it! If you didn't get a fav today, you still might later tonight or tomorrow. Since there was a ton of action, it sometimes takes a while for the pubs/agents to go through everything and with a fresh set of eyes.
If this was your first TPP, then hurrah! You did it! I hope it was a learning experience and the next one (which is #PitMad is hosted by Brenda Drake on Sept 10) you'll be great!
Lastly, I personally want to thank each and every Publisher who attended today and took the time to be with all of us: Anaiah Press, Apex Publications, CleanReads (fna: Astraea Press), Beachwalk Press, Blue Moon Publishers, BookFish Books, Carina Press, Clean Teen Pub, Crimson Tree Pub, Curiosity Quills, Dingbat Publishing, Entangled, Etopia Press, Evernight Publishing, Fantasy Works Publishing, Fey Publishing, Henery Press, Immortal Publishing, Kensignton Books, Limitless Publishing, Pandamoon Publishing, River Ram Press, REUTS Publications, Samhain Publishing, Solstice Publishing, and Soul Mate Publishing (and Agent, Jessica S.). My sincere gratitute goes out to you ... this wouldn't have been possible! So remember my name (and email address) becuase I'll be contacting you again next spring.

Fantasy Works Publishing: We are a fantasy publishing company offering full service (absolutely no fees) to our authors and excellent, well edited, high quality books for our readers. When we say that we accept series, we mean the entire series at one time. Reason being, our wish is to relieve the author of the burden associated with completing book two. By that, I mean the burdensome task of shopping book two around to yet another publisher before beginning book three. It’s a nasty little cycle we aim to eradicate.
We also understand this goes against the grain of traditional publishing. Who cares. They only want to test the waters with new authors, and if immediate success isn’t found, then toss you to the curb and move on to the next author. The thing is, with any new author, success is rarely found in the first book. Usually, it is the author’s productivity, relentless marketing and proven quality of work that leads to sustained success.
Submissions: Please attach the first three chapters in .doc, .docx, .odt, or .txt formats (include prologue if applicable), a synopsis and word count for your novel (the first novel in your series if applicable), a brief synopsis of your series and approximate number of books planned (if applicable), and finally, please include a little bit about yourself, including any author social media links you might have.

Pandamoon Publishing: Pandamoon Publishing is an independent publishing house in Austin Texas. We are a royalty-paying, non-subsidy publisher who believes the relationship between the author and the publisher is paramount to success. We are different in that our management team has decades of invaluable experience in publishing and other technology and consumer industries and we bring the best practices of each to the publishing realm.
I am a successful serial entrepreneur and this is my third startup. My first company was an advertising agency which focused on traditional advertising, market research, and an interactive division that was responsible for delivering content to customers in new and exciting ways. After 12 years, I sold that company and started a global management consultancy practice which provided companies with operational, procedural, publishing, and marketing solutions. I sold my interest in that firm last year and have been focused on creating Pandamoon since then.
Pandamoon is a unique opportunity that utilizes all of my skill sets at once, as well as my love of technology, publishing, marketing, and lifelong learning. I have spent the last year building a team of extremely experienced and talented editorial, production, and publicity people who share my passion for building strong relationships with our authors. Everyone here has been quick to learn the value of and adopt my processes that are so efficient that we can reduce production time and return a much higher royalty rate to our authors. Bottom line, I know that our success is totally dependent upon the level of customer service, support, and response that we provide our readers and authors.
So who's watching the feed for Pandamoon Publishing? Again this will be a team effort by editors!!!
