KEEP IN MIND THE RULE OF: "1 - 2 - 3"
If you are planning to participate in the next #Pit2Pub on February 3, 2016, please be aware that we are implementing a NEW Rule. To help the publishers sort all the authors tweeting, we are only allowing 1 pitch per manuscript every 2 hours during the duration of the #Pit2Pub party on February 3 in the 12-hour time period, starts at 8AM and ends at 8PM (CST or CDT, which is Chicago time)..
The publishers will favorite (HEART) pitches they would like to see more of. Some publishers will tweet their requirements the day of the event, while others will direct you to their website for the submission details.
Authors can Retweet (RT) other authors' pitches to show their support.
While we can't stop the authors from tweeting the same pitch, or more than the 1 pitch every 2 hours, we would like your help! If you see anyone posting the same or more than allowed, please contact me by DM or email. Get ready to pitch on February 3, 2016, starts at 8AM and ends at 8PM (CST or CDT, which is Chicago time).
The offending author will be placed on a NAUGHTY list and these profiles will be shared with the Publishers. It will be up to the Publishers if they still want to fav your pitch. If they have already done so, it'll be on a case-by-case basis if the Publisher will withdraw their request for you to submit to them.
And to take it a step further, if we catch you, we will Direct Message you and ask to take your post down or revise it.
Please, please don't make us do this. This isn't how we want to run #Pit2Pub. We trust that each author will READ the instructions and comply. Help out your fellow authors and tweet to them so they can remove their own post(s). We still want #Pit2Pub to be fun and enjoyable and not having the hosts turn into task masters.
Let's all work together!!!
Reminder: The pitch must include the hashtag #Pit2Pub, the Age Group, and the Genre (#YA, #MG, #A, etc. see chart below) in the tweet. It's important to include the hashtag(s).
Age Groups Hashtags:
#PB = Picture Book
#C = Children's
#CB = Chapter Book
#CL = Children's Lit
#MG = Middle Grade
#YA = Young Adult
#NA - New Adult
#A = Adult
If you don't see a genre or if you have any questions, please contact me about it. Thanks!
